We engaged Lucy for six weeks of postpartum support following the birth of our daughter, who arrived via emergency forceps delivery after a traumatic labour. Lucy was a wealth of knowledge and support at a very vulnerable time, and it was incredibly reassuring to have a professional we could turn to with all the questions that naturally come up in those intense early weeks. Her home visits were invaluable and she examined both Mum and little one with genuine care and attention. These were complemented by regular WhatsApp messages where she checked in with us and promptly responded to any queries we had. She even took bubs out for a walk so that we could sleep! In a time of uncertainty as a new Mum, Lucy’s expertise and calm made a world of difference, and her support gave us confidence in our postpartum journey.
